This list is a combined effort of professional web designers and art directors to speeding up your project development time so you can save money and focus on making great applications. All the screenshots again made in usual way so there is no confusion in checking the actual preview and corresponding font types.
The basic purpose behind this post is to show popular and professional free font types to save your time searching online. This time direct download link available for all the font. You can also find some related free references at the end of the post. Just make sure to read the license agreements carefully as they can change from time to time.
Listropolis' Take
As far as I'm concerned, you can never have too many great fonts, and these are some of the best I've ever seen. The post has plenty of screenshots showing the fonts, so there's not a lot of jumping to other pages for examples.

From The Future Buzz:
As our digital and physical lives blur further, the internet has become the information hub where people spend a majority of their time learning, playing and communicating with others globally.
Sometimes it is easy to lose sight of just how staggering the numbers are of people collaborating, researching, and interacting on the web.
I thought it might be fun to take a step back and look at some interesting/amazing social media, Web 2.0, crowdsourcing and internet statistics. I tried to find stats that are the most up-to-date as possible at the time of publishing this post.
The numbers presented below should be a close representation of today’s numbers (please correct me in the comments if you find more recent numbers somewhere and I’ll update).
Let’s break them down by section:
Listropolis' Take:
I'm a number junkie, and a social media junkie, so this is almost like geek porn for me. It's not going to help you live any better, but it's an awesome list showing you the power of social media.

I've made the decision to start featuring interesting people I meet online, and I guess there's no better day than today. Robert Scoble is a self-proclaimed Tech geek blogger, and he's probably the biggest celebrity blogger around. I'm not going to spend a lot of time talking about him when you could just read about him elsewhere, read his blog, or follow him on Twitter.
The reason I feel the need to bring Scoble up today is an interesting list he started on Friendfeed. I "borrowed" the title of his list for the title of this post - hope you don't mind Robert.
Here's what's going on. Robert is building a list in the comments section, and other readers are adding their own tips. It's a great idea, fantastic topic, and the list has become a nice resource.....so I've added it to Listropolis (where ALL great lists belong), all nice and tidy.

From Smashing Magazine:
2008 was a very good year for the WordPress community. The software was updated numerous times, leading to the recent release of version 2.7, and many new blogs dedicated to WordPress were created. Of course, tons of new hacks were discovered, which helped lots of bloggers enhance their blogs.
In this article, we’ll show you 10 new useful killer WordPress hacks to unleash the power of your favorite blogging engine. Each hack has an accompanying explanation, so you’ll not only unleash the power of WordPress but also understand how it works.
Listropolis' Take:
An amazing list! Usually, the "hack" lists are old hacks that can now be accomplished easily, and that almost everyone already knows about, but this is Smashing Magazine, so you know it's good stuff. The list has some surprisingly great ideas, and all are very simple to do. If you have a wordpress site, take a minute and read/bookmark this site as a reference.

The title might be a tad over-dramatic, but having played with Spotify for about 10 minutes, I'm convinced it's the hands-down best damn streaming music player I've ever seen - and thanks to TechCrunch and their post How To Try Spotify Immediately, No Matter Where You Live. They have a great explanation - but this little hack might not last long, so I'm just going to give you the steps to do it, and you can read about it after downloading.
Here are the steps:
Invite yourself from anywhere:
1) go to http://www.daveproxy.co.uk/
2) enter the following URL: https://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/
3) Create your account, for UK postcode - check http://www.postcodesearch.org.uk/
Now get downloading before they close this thing up. Thank me later.
If you need a little more info, just think iTunes - but all streaming. You can make playlists and drag streams into the playlist for later. Do you really need to know more?

From MSNBC:
How do you make Feist’s “My Moon My Man” even sexier? For one thing, you loosen up the piano and bring the bass (which, as everybody knows, is the sexiest of all instruments) front and center, thus bypassing all the normal channels and plugging the the song directly into your nervous system.
Listropolis' Take:
It's an interesting list, and if you like discover new music, this is a good place to start. I had a listen to a few of the artists mentioned on the list, and I can see why you didn't hear them, but the one shining gem in the bunch is Kate Nash. I heard "Foundations" and became an instant fan a few months ago. She has a very cool sound, and if you're into brit-pop, you don't want to miss her.

The 10 Users You’ll Meet on Twitter
Posted on 02 January 2009 by admin
From Mashable:
Twitter is undoubtedly becoming one of the fastest growing social media tools in existence. As it continues to expand, so too does the diversity of its user base.
Whether you’re new to Twitter, a veteran user, or someone that is just interested, here’s a list of the 10 people you meet on Twitter. There may be more, but this is a great place to start.
Listropolis' Take
I really like this list - or so I thought. The list is great, creative and original, but looking at the "People that do it right" tweeple, I thought I'd be quickly following new people. Thing is, none of the people really grabbed my attention enough to follow them. My favorite group was the list of celebrities, but even they didn't do much for me - your mileage may very. If you're new to Twitter, this will probably be an essential list for you - and will serve as a guide for what to watch out for. By the way, you can follow me on twitter here.
